PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
TANK•MATE removes Ammonia, Chlorine and Chloramines safely, easily and quickly. TANK•MATE solves four major problems commonly encountered with both fresh and saltwater closed-system "seafood" holding tanks.

1- TANK•MATE removes deadly chlorine and chloramines (the compounds of ammonia and chlorine combined). Both are commonly used to disinfect public water supplies.
2- TANK•MATE removes the harmful ammonia produced as a waste product by the animals themselves.
3- TANK•MATE extends the time aquatic animals can be kept alive in "live tanks".
4- TANK•MATE significantly increases the load of animals that can be safely kept in holding or shipping containers.

TANK•MATE requires no additional products or special operations to be effective and when used on a regular basis, greatly improves the survival rate for any group of aquatic animals. TANK•MATE does not require filtration in order to work (however, proper filtration is recommended), and it is compatible with all sea salt formulas. TANK•MATE is non-toxic to aquatic animals, humans, and biological filter beds and is ideal for use with both invertebrates and vertebrates including: lobsters, shrimp, crawfish, abalone, clams, oysters, scallops, squid, octopus, trout, catfish, carp and eels. Also for use during the depuration of clams, oysters and other shellfish in closed systems.

DIRECTIONS:
New Tank Set-ups: Add 1 teaspoon of TANK•MATE per 10 gallons (Or 1 capful per 10 gal. Use cap on this container for measuring capfuls) of natural or tap water. Use cap on this container for measuring capfuls. When preparing artificial saltwater solutions, TANK•MATE can be added before, during, or after the salt is added. Water changes: For normal partial water changes, add TANK•MATE after removing the old water and before adding new water. If a complete water change is being made, proceed as for new tank set-ups. Ammonia control: To prevent toxic ammonia build-up, add 1 teaspoon of TANK•MATE per 10 gallons (Or 1 capful per 10 gal. Use cap on this container for measuring capfuls) of water for each ppm (mg/L) of total ammonia present. Doses can be increased as needed. To determine the concentration of total ammonia use a Salicylate ammonia test kit. Do not use a kit based on Nessler's reagent.

A companion product to TANK•MATE is TANK•NO•FOAM® which safely eliminates unsightly foam and scum from the suface of the water. TANK•MATE is compatible with Kordon's NovAqua®, the full-range water conditioner. In addition to the benefits provided by TANK•MATE, NovAqua detoxifies heavy metals (including copper and other metals from the plumbing), buffers water pH, adds electrolytes to ease stress in fish and invertebrates, and adds a protective slime coat to fish.

TANK•MATE should be used with Kordon's PolyAqua® in salt or fresh water used for shipping live seafood fishes in order to reduce stress by adding and extra thick protective slime coat.

TANK•MATE is not a medication and is not intended to be a substitute for any chemotherapeutic agent.
